REGISTERING FOR COURSES

At the Issachar School we offer a number of ways to earn training units. For more information, please check the Student Handbook. Here’s a quick-reference guide on how to register for Issachar Courses:

STEP ONE: Enroll as a student in the Issachar School.

(NOTE: You are free to audit courses without enrolling. To audit a Fast-Track course without enrolling, follow the registration procedure below & pay the normal registration fee. You will not receive Training Units toward a certificate unless you enroll as a student within 60 days of course completion.)

Steps to Enrolling as a Student:

  1. Download the Issachar School application and Letter of Recommendation.
     
  2. Ask a leader who knows you well to fill out the recommendation & send it in.
     
  3. Complete the application & submit it with your enrollment fee of $85.
     
  4. When your application is accepted, you may begin to earn Training Units toward your certificate. (NOTE: If, for any reason, you are not accepted as a student, your enrollment fee will be refunded, minus a $25 processing fee.)

STEP TWO: Register for courses.

You can register to attend classes live in Denton, or you can register to participate in the class via webcast. 

  1. In-class registration:  Go to the “Schedule” page and select the class you wish to attend.  Download the “in-class” registration form and mail or fax it in.  You can also call our office at 888-965-1099. 
     
  2. Webcast registration:  Go to the "Schedule" page and select the class you wish to attend. Click on "Webcast", which will direct you to the MP3 store where you can purchase an e-ticket registration.

STEP THREE: Registering for other events/conferences.

Prior approval is needed to receive Issachar credit for outside conferences/events.  If you wish to attend a conference that is not convened by GZI or GHM, please provide the Issachar office with details of the conference including the ministry sponsor, dates, speakers, title and subject matter.  You must receive prior approval in order to have it eligible for Issachar credit.  If you are planning to be involved in some form of Supervised Ministry, please complete a Supervised Ministry Request Form and send it to the Issachar office. 

After the event is over, please have your Supervisor complete and send in the Supervised Ministry Evaluation Form.  You will also need to submit a self-evaluation about your experience.

TUITION

The tuition for the 2009 Tuesday morning Issachar class is $15 per week, whether you are taking the course as an enrolled student or just auditing the course.  The $25 per Training Unit (TU) fee is still applicable for other events/activities such as conference credit fees, Home Studies, Prayer Journeys, and/or Mission trips.  Training Units are based on the number of hours of teaching. 

You can take any of the previously taught courses by CD or DVD for $99.00.  If you are an enrolled student, please contact the Issachar School directly to order the courses to make sure you receive appropriate credit.
