Brazil, Spain, and San Marino Trip Report |
August 17, 2004
Dear Faithful Ones:
We are now flying back from Spain. Thank you so much for praying for our time in Brazil and Europe. Our time there was powerful, and the Celebration of Praise was historic. From Spain we traveled to the nation of San Marino. However, before I share about our time in Europe, I want to update you on our trip to Brazil.
Eagles of God Trip to Brazil (Aug. 4-8)
Neuza Itioka hosted the 11th Congress of Spiritual Warfare and
Strategic Intercession in Sao Paulo. She is a wonderful leader who
pulled together apostolic leaders and intercessors from the Sao Paulo region
and across the nation of Brazil. There were over 2,000 in attendance
at the night meetings. I ministered four times during the conference, and
also to Neuza’s staff and ministry partners.
The month of August is supposed to be cursed
in Brazil - a month of sorrow and grief. It's a month where they say
the devil deals the cards. However, these meetings were strategic
and anointed, and I believe the Church in Brazil will now “trump
the devil’s hand”.
Here was the word the Lord released:
“These are days of change for Brazil. For I AM rearranging My Church in Brazil. You are entering into a season of confrontation. This is a new season. Even now there is a plan of the enemy being devised in your midst, but I have a people that are arising. I will move from the outside in. I will move in the outermost posts of this nation and will move toward this city (Sao Paulo).
For beginning in the next three months you will have 10 months of confrontation. Do not be afraid to confront. In the next three months I will rearrange the intercessory cry in My people. I will renew the intercessory call to My people over the next three months. Ministries will shift to redevelop their intercessory strength. I must develop a shield of faith for My Church for the future. As My people begin to cry through intercession and prayer, I will remember My promise over them.
You will enter into your ten months of confronting the enemy. These ten months are the most important in your history. And those leaders in My Body who have been on the fence must make a shift. Either they will become the Deliverers of this nation, or else the government will arise and begin to change the course of this land. But if My leaders begin to rise up, cry out and become deliverers, then I WILL take hold of the reins and change the course of this land. I will cause the civil government to submit to My plan.
Brazil is entering into the days of Moses. If you will go forth and confront you will cross over, My blessing will begin to manifest, and what happens in Brazil will be heard through the world. Allow Me to stir you now, and your future will be secured.”
Brazil is known for its passion and music. At this point in the service an incredible prophetic sound began to come forth:
“My people will march in a cadence of holiness. I will cover this land with My wings and with My Glory. As you march forward in holiness I will move forward and cover this land, and My Glory will liberate. As you march in holiness the drug addicts and homeless will move behind you. For transformation to come, those that are in captivity must enter the march. So allow Me to lead and you follow. Then watch (for) Me to enter in and follow after you.
I am going down to southern Brazil and manifest first there. I am coming into the South. My wind will begin to blow from the South. Get ready for My Glory to manifest in the South. Then I will move My Glory all around Brazil. Even though northwest Brazil would resist My Glory, I will manifest in the South and blow such a wind that the North will submit.
I AM forming a new base. I AM forming a new base. I AM forming a new base. I am releasing strategy in new ways. I will cause a path that has not been cut to be opened up. There are new bases of leadership forming to cut into the enemy’s camps. Stand toe to toe with the enemy. I will cause the enemy to fall to the left and right and you will cut through.”
Eagles of God Trip to Spain and San Marino (Aug. 12-17)
Thank you for also praying for our time in Europe. We began by traveling
to Santiago de Compostela for the Celebration of Praise gathering
on August 14. Altogether, there were 30 members on my team. They came from
across the United States, and were committed to help under gird the Celebration
in praise at the third most-visited pilgrimage site in the world.
When we arrived in Spain, the team met for
a prayer meeting. The Lord began to impress us that we had come to watch
Him disconnect a structure in the earth so a reconnect with His purposes in
Heaven could begin and Harvest could come forth. Linda Heidler
shared that the Lord had showed her three things by using Psalm 85,
Romans 8, and Genesis 28:
I shared with the team about the war over revelation. Santiago is a highly
strategic location. The region of Galicia, according to history or tradition,
was first evangelized by the Apostle James, one of the sons of Zebedee, who
was later killed by Herod while he was visiting Jerusalem (see Acts 12).
The cathedral is built in his honor.
"James" in Spanish
is interchangeably “Santiago” or “Jacobo” or “Diego.”
Interestingly enough, the Roman term for this region was finis terra,
meaning the “uttermost part of the earth,” words that James
would have heard from Jesus, Himself (see Acts 1:8).
Because of spiritistic worship, seeking the
dead for revelation, an apparition like James appeared instructing the people
to go forth in war. Much violence and bondage has occurred because of this
revelation. We knew that only worship could change the atmosphere where
this demonic force rules and controls people all over the world. People
still come from all over the world to worship the “bones” of James in the
cathedral.
A SIGN. Prior to the start of the gathering,
we visited the cathedral and various other sites around the city. As you
may recall from our prior trips, the priests swing the largest incense
burner in the world from one side of the cathedral to the other. However,
our guide told us that seven days earlier the rope that suspends the immense
incense burner began to fray and they had to stop presenting their daily
incense offerings for fear of the rope totally severing.
Since it was the height of the pilgrimage season,
the cathedral was pressing to have it back by that weekend. But the fabrication
of the new rope was not complete. We knew this was a sign from the Lord that
the incense offering to the Queen of Heaven had been halted, and that
He had sovereignly opened the way for a true offering of worship to Jesus
Christ. This WAS an incredible sign.
ANOTHER SIGN… Since the
weather that day was sunny and pleasant from beginning to end, many were very
open to standing for several hours to take part in what was occurring. We
knew the weather was another sign of the Lord’s favor since the weather is
typically overcast and rainy, and had been so for the week leading up to the
gathering.
Pastor Segundo Navaza was our local
host for the gathering that night. He did an incredible job in preparing for
the event. Pastor Paco Garcia also assisted with the gathering and
coordinated the worship. After a planning meeting that afternoon, our team
split up to pray throughout the plaza and waited to see how many people would
participate. Already two hours before the gathering there were hundreds of
people in the plaza, and nearly all of the 500 chairs were filled. As we drew
near our starting time, there were 3,000 people in the plaza. Many
had come from dozens of nations to join in the Celebration, and many more
were visitors and pilgrims who were attracted to the excitement of the impending
worship celebration.
After Dr. Peter Wagner and Paco Garcia
opened the gathering, the worship began. David Stanfield, a wonderful
individual who has a tremendous anointing to use banners in worship, had brought
a special collection of banners from Australia. Throughout the night he led
many of the youth from that region in praise with banners to accompany and
heighten the worship, and brought many additional flags so that over a hundred
people were worshiping with banners throughout the night.
Pastors and leaders from Spain and other parts
of the world would periodically lead prayer. Pastor Segundo Navaza shared
from Esther 9. This was the prophetic pattern for the night as well
as showing how this event would affect the region in the future. I would suggest
you read Esther 9.
I invited the Host of Heaven to connect and co-labor with the host
of people that had gathered in the earth. From previous writings I have sent,
you must remember that this is the Year of the Door in Santiago de
Compostela where millions of people come seeking for their sins to be forgiven
by walking through “The Door” of the cathedral.
Bruno Interlandi and I gave an invitation
for those who had never received the Lord to listen to the Lord knocking at
the door of their heart. Harvest angels entered in. Their presence was almost
tangible. Peter ended by connecting an apostolic decree with what he had shared
several years prior when He saw a multitude of worshipping people in the plaza.
Worship wins the WAR with our enemies and changes atmospheres!
I thank God for Peter and Doris Wagner…They are constantly pressing
in with the Lord in hard places.
A THIRD SIGN… The Lord ended the meeting by sending a plane that looked like a rocket’s contrail. This jet looked as if it was going straight up into the air and splitting the sky, traveling in a straight line directly over the Plaza. It was as if the heavens opened and a new day began in Spain. The entire crowd saw this and cheered. Only God could have timed this sign. Praise God – I loved it!
Italy and San Marino: A Time of Completing Another Mission
(Aug. 15-16)
From Spain we traveled on to Italy and San Marino. The only 40/70
nation that we did not have a report of a prayer team visiting over these
past four years was San Marino. This is the smallest and oldest republic
in the world.
San Marino was founded in A.D. 301 when a Christian
stonemason named Marinus the Dalmation fled the island of Arbe to escape
the anti-Christian Roman Emperor Diocletian. Marinus hid on the peak of Mount
Titano and founded a small community of people following their Christian
beliefs. In memory of the stone-cutter, the land was renamed "Land of
San Marino," then called the "Community of San Marino," and
was finally changed to its present-day name, "Republic of San Marino."
The day we arrived in Rome (Aug. 15) was their greatest holiday of the year
(even more so than Christmas) as they celebrated the Assumption of Mary. We
drove six hours to San Marino. This took us through the Tuscany area of Italy. San
Marino is probably one of the most beautiful nations/cities I have ever been
in. We arrived at 10pm and then had to leave at 10am the following morning,
but our short time there was incredible. We met early in the day to pray on
the steps of the Basilica.
The tiny nation of San Marino was founded before
the early Church was defiled (in the fourth century) and became infiltrated
with Roman doctrine. We prayed and called back the fullness of God’s
foundation that had never come into that nation or into the nations of the
earth.
We asked the Lord from this first nation to
give us the nations of the earth (Psalm 2). We asked the Lord to give
the leadership of this wineskin the determination to reestablish His foundation
as He had planned. We called forth apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors
and evangelists from the first nation and asked God to raise them up throughout
all the nations of the earth.
We drove back to Rome to catch our plane flight. Marty and Brian assisted
me in ministering to each of the team members on the drive. The Lord met
us in such minute, detailed ways throughout our entire trip—from finding
a lost passport to allowing us to get our boarding passes early because of
the tremendous crowds.
His presence and favor was upon us. I thank God for
you praying. I also was glad that Daniel could join me on our trip to Brazil
and Rebekah on our trip to Europe. I thank God for the wonderful team that
joined me. And I thank God for you for your continued support and devotion.

50-State Tour to taking a team to the last nation of the 40/70 Window
