“Cheshvan: Firstfruits of Change” at 7 PM!
The Purpose of Giving! (An Excerpt from the New Book, Firstfruits)
Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Dear World Changers:
I am flying home from Hong Kong and cannot thank you enough for your prayers and support for this assignment! A year ago, I knew the Lord was calling me to return to China for such a time as this. My last visit there was exactly six years ago … October 29, 2019. Your intercession helped rend the heavens and release keys of revelation for the destiny of peoples and nations. Eddie and Louisa Ma of Incubator Ministries hosted this Isaiah 64:1 apostolic and prophetic gathering, and shared, “We are overwhelmed by your visit and the words from heaven released to our city – like a tornado/typhoon, coming so suddenly, breaking through ….” Keep watching and filling your atmosphere with the declarations of Heaven for China. Below are a few pictures to stir your faith – I am grateful you came with me to this nation!

“Cheshvan: Firstfruits of Change” at 7 PM!
Since I was 18, my whole life has been built around the principle of Firstfruits. When we choose to honor Him with the first portion of our time and increase, He sanctifies both our time and our finances. This enables us to express our first love and gain confidence that even in the midst of change or uncertainty, He will always be our Provider. As I shared on Sunday morning, Cheshvan is a time of change, renewed expectations, and the new anointing. For tonight’s webcast, I want to replay the message the Lord gave me for this month. When the Lord provides us a moment in time to establish our course for the season ahead, we want to ponder and meditate on what He’s communicating so we fully align with His cycle of blessing. Join online at 7 PM CDT and rejoice in the firstfruits of change!
The Purpose of Giving!
So many are sharing how the new book on Firstfruits is helping them understand giving in a whole new way. Each chapter provides a foundation for firstfruits and how it aligns your life for prosperity and purpose. Here is a great excerpt on “The Purpose of Giving” that will bless you in this month of change.
Giving isn’t just about helping others or funding ministry – though both are accomplished. The deeper purpose of giving, especially through Firstfruits, is connection, divine encounter, and relationship. Firstfruits is honoring God in such a way that your heart, your harvest, and your hands are aligned with His. Jesus said it this way: “Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven.”
The purpose of Firstfruits is not transaction – it’s transformation. You are not paying God off. You are presenting yourself to Him. Romans 12:1 says, “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
When you bring your Firstfruit, you are bringing your first breath of the month, your first decision, your first response to His provision. This is a moment of consecration. A moment of alignment. Here’s what Firstfruits giving produces:
- Intimacy. Giving draws you closer to the heart of God. It opens the heavens over your hearing. You begin to receive more clearly.
- Worship. It becomes an altar moment. A time when you say, “I trust You, Lord. You are first in my life.”
- Favor. God responds to honor. When you place Him first, He places favor on what follows.
- Access. Just like Esther touched the king’s scepter, Firstfruits giving opens access to divine strategies and prophetic insight.
- Identity. Giving affirms who you are – a son or daughter of the Most High, not a slave to fear or mammon.
Some may ask, “Do I have to give Firstfruits?” The answer is no. But the better question is, “Why wouldn’t I?” Why would I not seize every opportunity to encounter God in a deeper way? Why would I not bring my best to the One who gave me His best? Giving is not about funding a budget – it’s about fueling a relationship and saying, “This matters more than anything else.”
