A Testimony in a Season of Change

Voices: Ben Windsor, Chuck Pierce
Date Given: December 19, 2021

Chuck Pierce – Biblically there comes a moment when even the heavens change. That’s talked about in Psalms 102 where the heavens become like an old garment. And, you know, I believe we are living in so much change that the heavens are shifting rapidly above us. That means that we’re experiencing things that have been over us for a long time falling. It means that things we’ve been facing off, now we see. And when you think about the season, all of a sudden generations align, three, 14 generations, 14 means deliverance, so think when that perfection occurred, all of a sudden the Lord said, “Now it’s time. I’ve got to offer mankind redemption.” See, change has this meaning. It means that you’re going to make something or someone different. You’re gonna alter them. You’re gonna modify them. You’re gonna replace something in them with something else. You’re going to actually act to become different.

Ben Windsor – This year has been a very hard year for me. In February, I had a medical event that really was unexpected and ultimately I feel like the Lord allowed it to happen so that I could see the change I needed. But after the event, Chuck emailed me and texted me and talked to me and he said, “I want you to email me what the Lord’s telling you you need to do to change.” And I was like, “Okay, I can do that.” And then I didn’t. Every two or three weeks Chuck would be like, “Hey, I haven’t gotten your email.” And I just kept putting it off and putting it off. And normally when Chuck would ask somebody to do something like that and they didn’t do it, Chuck would rightfully get very angry and he didn’t and I’m very grateful for that because I wasn’t trying to, I was in rebellion in wanting to answer that. I was fighting with God. I was fighting with myself. And finally there was a moment where Chuck was walking up to me, we had just finished the offices up there, and I was like, “I gotta tell him. I gotta say something.” And I had found I needed to change my weight. I had gotten to a point, and for me this is hard to share, but I gotten to 555 pounds and it’s the heaviest I’d ever been. I actually had gotten heavier after in the hospital. But the thing was, I was like, “Chuck, this is what I’m gonna do. I found a program, I’m gonna get on it.” I then still didn’t make the appointment for three weeks because I was still fighting with God. I kept saying, “Lord, I can’t do this. I don’t have the strength to do this again. I don’t have the strength to walk through this to not see results and have the disappointment because my entire life I’ve been large and my entire life I’ve tried things, but I’ve always tried to do it on my own.” And that’s one of the biggest things that has become part of this testimony is as soon as you submit to what God is asking you to do, He is going to make a way for it to happen. And the thing of it was, I kept trying to think and let my brain figure out how I was gonna do it. And it was one of those things where it was too much for me to comprehend and so I would give up. I would do something for three months and give up, do something for six months and give up. So anyways, I started this program and I’ve seen how the support Chuck gave me, the support that the staff and friends and family have given me has allowed it to be supernaturally easy. Not that it was easy, but supernaturally the process has been easy and so one of the big things that has hit me is the support has been there, and that’s all something that I knew about, but as I’ve gone, I’ve found people who the Lord has put me on their heart to pray for me and I didn’t ask, they didn’t know what I was going through. And so I just wanna implore, if you’re ready to make a change and you’re ready to submit and get out of the rebellion that the Lord has asked you to do something and you’re just like, “I can’t do it, or I don’t wanna do it, or I’m gonna ‘do it,'” the Lord’s gonna put somebody on your path to intercede for you to get you through. He knows what it takes for you to get through and He’s gonna put those people on your path. So I just wanna encourage you and as we come through this season and the holidays can always be the toughest, if the Lord’s asking you to change something, just take that step of faith and say, “Lord, I don’t know how to do it. I’m not gonna try to do this on my own. I’m gonna let You plow the path for me so that I can walk the easier walk in the change that the Lord has for you.”

Chuck Pierce – Now, let’s all stand up.

Ben Windsor – Oh, and I’m down 121 pounds right now.
